At 8:08am on Saturday, 22 November, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 7 Slough West and Junction 6 Slough West.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough Fire Station and one crew from Maidenhead Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a lorry with overheated brakes. Thames Valley Police used two dry powder extinguishers prior to our arrival, then crews used one hose reel to cool the brakes. The scene was handed over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 34 minutes.
