At 11:39pm on Sunday, 1 March, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 eastbound between Junction 13 in Chieveley and Junction 12 in Theale.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found that a small fire in the engine of a car was out on arrival. Firefighters monitored the temperature of the vehicle to ensure the scene was safe, before giving advice to the owner of the car.
They were on scene for approximately seven minutes.
