At 12:42pm on Thursday, 19 February, we received reports of a vehicle fire between junctions 12 and 13 on the westbound carriageway of the M4.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.
Upon arrival, crews discovered one vehicle on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 40 minutes.
