At 9:01pm on Friday, 10 October, we received reports of a vehicle fire near Membury Services on the westbound carriageway of the M4.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Hungerford fire station were sent to the scene alongside a crew from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered one car on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and five minutes.
