At 11:31am on Saturday, 25 October, we received reports of a large vehicle on fire near the recycling centre on Island Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Ascot and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene.
Firefighters found a small fire in one heavy goods vehicle carrying general waste. They extinguished it using one hose reel. Crews were on scene for about 50 minutes.
