The January transfer window is open, and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is looking to bring in competent firefighter transferees from other services.
The Service is looking for competent firefighters and competent Crew Managers, to join its team at fire stations across the Royal County.

Next Steps
To be eligible to apply you must be competent in the role of Firefighter and working in the Wholetime duty systems of the UK fire and rescue services.
Transfer applications will only be accepted from firefighters with the relevant competencies and qualifications.
Every application is assessed solely on merit and to the same standards.

The application window is open for three weeks and will close on Sunday 8 February.

Join the Team
The successful candidates will complete a Transferee Conversion Course with our Learning and Development team at Learning and Development Centre in Reading.
The courses are expected to take place between Monday, 8 June and Friday, 26 June, subject to scheduling changes. To apply you must be able to attend the full course on these dates.
Upon completion of the Conversion Course, the new transfers will join with crews at stations across the county. The Service will not support another transfer for 24 months following appointment.
