Animal rescue in Sonning

At 6:38am in Tuesday, 18 July, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue near Thames Street in Sonning.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew discovered a deer stuck in railing. Firefighters released the deer from the rail before releasing it back into the wild.

The crew was on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
