At 3:21pm on Sunday, 17 May, we received reports of an incident on Kidmore End Road in Emmer Green.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station.

On arrival, crews discovered nine ducklings trapped in a chimney. Firefighters rescued the ducklings before reuniting them with their parents.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 27 minutes.
