At 12:38pm on Tuesday, 14 April, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Minister Street in Reading.
One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found one duckling and five eggs stuck on a roof. Crews used the Aerial Ladder Platform to rescue the duckling and eggs, before safely placing them in the care of Swan Support.
They were on scene for approximately 59 minutes.
