At 8:43pm on Sunday, 7 June, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Minister Street in Reading.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found nine ducklings stuck on top of a three storey building. The crew used a 135 ladder to rescue the ducklings and reunite them with their mother, before placing them in the care of Swan Support.

They were on scene for approximately 41 minutes.
