At 5:00pm on Wednesday, 17 April, we received reports of a trapped animal on Cheapside in Reading.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered a pigeon trapped in netting. Using a ladder, firefighters were able to reach and release the pigeon before placing it in the care of the RSPCA.
The crew was on the scene for approximately 21 minutes.
