At 1:50pm on Wednesday 28 February, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue near Ashmore Green.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside two Officers.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a horse trapped on its side in mud. Firefighters helped stand the horse up before placing it in the care of a vet.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 55 minutes.
