At 9:56am on Saturday, 2 May, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue near Uxbridge Road in Wexham.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Langley Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Slough Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found a red kite tangled on a fishing line. Firefighters equipped in water rescue gear entered the water and rescued the bird.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 50 minutes.
