At 9:21pm on Thursday, 10 September, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Pelican Lane in Newbury.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found a cat stuck inside the bonnet of a vehicle. The crew safely released the cat from the vehicle and placed it in the care of its owner.

They were on scene for approximately 33 minutes.
