At 8:39am on Wednesday, 13 May, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Faraday Road in Newbury.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found one muntjac deer stuck in a fence. The crew used spreaders to safely rescue the deer and release it back into the wild.

They were on scene for approximately eight minutes.
