At 3:09pm on Thursday, 9 July, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Edgehill Street in Reading.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found a French bulldog stuck under some decking. The crew safely released the dog, before placing it in the care of its owners.

They were on scene for approximately 15 minutes.
