At 4:12pm on Sunday, 29 January, we received reports of a horse needing rescuing on Sulhamstead Road, Sulhamstead.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the animal rescue unit from Caversham Road Fire Station and one RBFRS Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a horse trapped by its leg in a horse trailer. Crews worked to release the animal, who was subsequently checked by a vet.
Crews were on scene for approximately 47 minutes.
