At 12:43pm on Sunday, 16 August, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Twist Way in Slough.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Langley Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found a magpie stuck between some glass and a balcony door. The crew worked at height and used tools to safely release the magpie.

They were on scene for approximately 26 minutes.
