At 8:29pm on Tuesday, 21 July, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue near the A33 in Reading.
One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found two seagulls trapped in some netting on the roof of a building. Crews safely rescued the birds, before taking them back to the station and arranging for local vets to take them into their care.
Crews were on scene for approximately 49 minutes.
