Boat Fire in Maidenhead

At 1:19am on Wednesday, 31 May, we received reports of a boat fire near Boulters Lock Island in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews from Maidenhead and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene alongside a Water Rescue Units from Caversham Road Fire Station and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire involving a boat adrift on the River Thames. Firefighters equipped in breathing apparatus used two hose reels, a reach pole and throw lines to extinguish the fire.

Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 29 minutes.
