At 6:11am on Monday, 26 May, we received reports of a boat on fire on the River Kennet near Station Road in Woolhampton, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale and Newbury fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station and one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one canal boat on fire. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one light portable pump to put out the fire.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 51 minutes.
