At 11:55am on Saturday, 9 September, we received reports of a boat fire near Shooters Hill, Pangbourne.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale, Caversham Road and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene, alongside crews from Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service. The Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road and three Officers also attended the scene.
Firefighters found a boat alight, so used one jet to extinguish the fire. They provided immediate emergency care before placing two casualties in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. The boat was safely moored and crews were on the scene for just under three hours.
