At 7:06pm on Wednesday, 19 August, we received reports of a fire in the open at Walls Copse near Membury Services in Lambourn.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Hungerford Community Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside one crew from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a large bonfire consisting of rubbish and horse manure. Firefighters used two hose reels and one main line hay drag to put out the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 33 minutes.
