At 7:11am on Monday, 31 August, we received reports of a fire in the open on Ockwells Road in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a large bonfire. Firefighters used hose reels to put out the fire and dampen down the surrounding area, while onsite staff used machinery to assist the operations.

They were on scene for approximately three hours and 36 minutes.

One crew from Maidenhead Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
