At 9:38pm on Saturday, 4 February, we received reports of a fire at a commercial property on Deacon Way, Tilehurst, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Theale, Wokingham, Bracknell, Ascot, and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station, the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station and one RBFRS Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire affecting the front of the building and the garage area.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel and two main jets.
Crews were initially on the scene for three hours and 15 minutes but returned later to check for hotspots and to ensure the fire was fully out.
