Commercial property fire, Slough

At 03:56am on Friday, 25 November, we received reports of a commercial building fire on Petersfield Avenue, Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Windsor and Maidenhead were sent to the scene, along with three officers.

The Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) from Whitley Wood Fire Station was also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a two-storey commercial building on fire.

The fire was extinguished using external monitors along with the use of an aerial ladder platform.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building to check there was no further fire spread.

A light portable pump was also used to recycle water run-off from the incident.

A fire crew remains at the scene and is damping down.
