At 8:14am on Friday, 25 September, we received reports of a fire on Oxford Road in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, firefighters discovered an electrical fire in a café.  Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used three carbon dioxide fire extinguishers to put the fire out.

Crews remain at the scene at this time.
