At 12:18pm on Tuesday, 3 November, we received reports of a fire on High Street in Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot, Slough, Langley, Maidenhead and Windsor fire stations have been sent to the scene alongside three Officers and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station.

On arrival, crews found a fire in a ground floor kitchen that had spread to a storeroom on the first floor of the building. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus evacuated the building before using three hose reels and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately five hours before returning twice to check for hotpots.
