At 7:39am on Wednesday, 5 July, we received reports of a fire on Reading Road in Winnersh.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Wokingham and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a single storey building that had spread to the roof. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel and one hose reel jet. One person was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on the scene for approximately two hours and 45 minutes.
