At 6:50pm on Monday, 12 October, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a dangerous structure on Britten Road in Reading.
One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one car had collided with the front of a shop. A cordon was put in place while the crew used a gas monitor to ensure the scene was safe from a gas leak. The scene was made safe, before being handed over to a member of staff from the shop and the SGN engineer.
The crew was on scene for approximately one hour and 23 minutes.
