At 1:37am on Saturday, 4 March, we were called to reports of a fire at a residential property on Sandbrooke Walk, Burghfield Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Whitley Wood and Mortimer fire stations were sent to the scene, along with one officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire affecting the first floor of the property. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were able to extinguish the fire using two hose reels, and a large fan was used to clear the remaining smoke.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and 27 minutes.
