At 2:25pm on Monday, 3 August, we received reports of a fire on Calfridus Way in Bracknell.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Ascot and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a house fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus rescued a cat from the property used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews then provided immediate emergency care to one person and ventilated smoke from the property with a fan.

The crew were at the scene for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
