At 8:36pm on Thursday, 24 September, we received reports of a fire on Haversham Drive in Bracknell.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Ascot and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a rug on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before ventilating smoke from the property with a fan. Firefighters also provided immediate emergency care to one person.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 25 minutes.
