At 7.55pm on Tuesday, 6 May, we received reports of a fire on Braemore Close in Thatcham.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Mortimer, Whitley Wood, Hungerford, and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the aerial ladder platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station, three Officers, and one crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in a mid-terrace property which had spread to the roof and neighbouring properties. Twelve firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels and two jets and an aerial ladder platform to put out the fire, before placing one person in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
One Officer has currently returned to the scene, while a fire investigation takes place.
