At 12:20am on Monday, 1 June, we received reports of a fire on Parkhill Drive in Tilehurst.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire on the first floor of a two-storey house. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before ventilating smoke from the property with a fan.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately one hour and 50 minutes.
