Manor Lane domestic property fire

At 4:32pm on Tuesday, 19 April, we received reports of a fire on Manor Lane, Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Ascot, Whitley Wood, Slough, Langley and Maidenhead were sent to the scene alongside three Officers and the Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead.

Upon arrival, crews found that the roof of a derelict house was on fire. Using two main jets, two hose reel jets, and a light portable pump connected to a nearby swimming pool; firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Crews were initially on the scene for around six hours and 20 minutes. Following the incident, crews have returned to the scent to inspect the area for hot spots.
