At 1:32pm on Tuesday, 1 September, we received reports of a field fire on The Ridge in Cold Ash, Thatcham.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale and Newbury fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a small field fire. Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to put out the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately 28 minutes.
