At 10:58am on Saturday, 8 August, we received reports of a fire near Hartley Court Road near Three Mile Cross.  

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Hungerford and Whitley Wood Fire Stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer and an off-road vehicle from Hungerford Fire Station.

On arrival, crews discovered a field fire spanning approximately one hectare. Firefighters used several hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately three hours and 25 minutes.
