At 2:28pm on Monday, 13 July, we received reports of a fire near Edneys Hill in Wokingham.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Bracknell, Whitley Wood and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, crews discovered a bonfire had gotten out of control and had spread to surrounding fields and trees. Firefighters used three hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 55 minutes.
