Bath Road and Green Lane commercial premises fire

After extinguishing the fire, firefighters successfully cooled the cylinders, before making the area safe. They were on the scene for about 8 hours, leaving the scene at midnight and handing over to Thames Valley Police.

Update as of 5pm on Tuesday, 6 June

At 3:53pm on Tuesday, 7 June, we received reports of a fire at a commercial premises on the junction of Bath Road and Green Lane in Thatcham.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and crews from Windsor and Theale are currently on scene, alongside an Incident Command Unit and two officers.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire at a single storey building and remain on the scene.

A safety cordon is in place and people are advised to avoid the area while emergency services attend this incident.
