At 9:35pm on Thursday, 26 January, we received reports of a fire on Queens Walk in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Wokingham, Bracknell, Whitley Wood and Theale were sent to the scene, alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a small kitchen fire on the fifth floor of a high-rise building. Firefighters extinguished the fire before handing the scene over to on-site security.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 45 minutes.
