At 3:26pm on Tuesday, 11 August, we received reports of a fire near Bourne Road in Pangbourne.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Crowthorne, Wokingham and Theale Fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer and two crews from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews found a fire affecting several fields with a small amount of smoke affecting the railway line. Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire using hose reels and fire beaters.

Crews were on the scene for about 4 hours and 20 minutes.
