UPDATE 30/06/2026

At 7:13pm on Thursday, 25 June, we received reports of a fire in the open on Stanwell Road in Horton, Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Langley, Slough, Windsor, Newbury, Ascot, Wokingham Road, Bracknell, Whitley Wood, Theale, Wokingham and Mortimer fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside an Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station and three Officers.

Two crews from London Fire Brigade, one crew from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, and a Water Carrier from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving a shipping container storing fireworks and pyrotechnic props. Firefighters used main jets, hose reels, a fog spike, and two fire monitors to put out the fire and cool the contents of the container. Firefighters also used a thermal imaging camera, an endoscope camera, and a drone from Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue to monitor the temperature of the container to ensure it was brought down to a safe level.

Crews were on scene for approximately four days, one hour and 55 minutes.
