At 4:52pm on Wednesday, 9 September, we received reports of a fire in the open on Reading Road in Finchampstead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham and Crowthorne fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Zetros water carrier from Bracknell Fire Station, one Officer, and one crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving one skip, one portacabin, one horse box and two shipping containers. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and two main jets to put out the fire.

They were on scene for approximately three hours and 14 minutes.
