At 9:34am on Monday, 29 September, we received reports of a fire in the open on Cannon Lane in Maidenhead.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Windsor Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found one smoking tree in the woods. Firefighters used one main jet to put out the fire.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and four minutes.

The crew later returned to the scene for a reinspection where they found no further hotspots.
