At 7:38pm on Tuesday, 7 July, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a fire near Cucumber Wood in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found smouldering tree stumps and undergrowth. Firefighters used hose reels to put out the fire, dampen down and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately 29 minutes.
