At 11:01am on Friday, 27 June, we received reports of a fire in the open on Black Park Road in Wexham, Slough.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Langley and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer and one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found one large haystack on fire. Firefighters used two hose reels, one light portable pump and a water shuttle to put out the fire and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 47 minutes.
One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Langley Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection, in which they found a hotspot and used one hose reel to dampen it down.
