At 3:13pm on Wednesday, 13 May, we received reports of a fire in the open on Mohawk Way in Woodley.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew found a small bonfire. Firefighters used buckets of water and backpacks to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately 27 minutes.
