At 10:17am on Wednesday, 12 August, we received reports of a fire near Meadow Lane near Eton.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley and Windsor Fire Stations were sent to the scene alongside two Officers and an off-road vehicle from Maidenhead Fire Station.

An off-road vehicle from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service was also sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a wildfire involving approximately one hectare of fields and woodland. Firefighters used six hose reels, two main jets and beaters to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 55 minutes.
