At 6:57pm on Tuesday, 14 July, we received reports of a fire near Denmark Avenue in Woodley.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene alongside the ‘Zetros’ water carrier from Bracknell Fire Station.

On arrival, crews discovered a large fire in the open. Firefighters used four hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
